E-News: Encore welcomes Shawn Gibson!

Shawn Gibbons joined Encore Health Network in April 2010 as the Director of Sales & Marketing. In this capacity he is responsible for all sales growth and retention strategies, as wells as marketing initiatives. Shawn has over 10 years sales and marketing management experience in the Indiana Managed Care market serving the Employee Benefits and Workers' Compensation markets.

Shawn has previously served as the State President and the State Legislative Chair for the Indiana State Association of Health Underwriters (ISAHU) pertaining to health insurance matter for the State Association's 7 chapters and its members throughout Indiana. He has established industry working groups; including an Insurance Producer working group and an Insurance & Business Working Group.

He has received the National Association of Health Underwriters Presidential Citation Award (2006); the ISAHU State Legislative Excellence Award (2007), and the Indiana State Association of Health Underwriters Member of the Year award (2009). In 2008 he was named Honorary Commissioner for the Indiana Department of Insurance by Governor Daniels and Insurance Commissioner Atterholt.

Shawn received his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2003 and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Mankato State University.

He is actively involved in his community and currently serves in several capacities at New Joy Lutheran Church in Westfield, Indiana. Shawn and his wife Amy have been married for 14 years and have two sons.
